SCARLETT ISOBEL
O’SULLIVAN

I’m a German-British multidisciplinary designer based in London. My work blends art direction, graphic & editorial design, photography, and branding, on storytelling to create cohesive and intentional visual experiences. Through iteration and diverse perspectives, I refine ideas to create thoughtful, tailored solutions. I enjoy developing ideas from the ground up, crafting across print, digital, and social media. I’m interested in exploring new approaches and finding fresh ways to make an impact.

Frames of Love

An editorial book exploring how cinema constructs and remembers love. Through 50 curated films, it highlights recurring visual motifs, from first encounters to final goodbyes.

Cinematic sequencing and a grid-based layout echo film pacing, while Coptic binding and a debossed cover reinforce its tactile, archival feel.

Original Machines

Original Machines is a conceptual visual identity for the Design Museum, exploring the theme “The Body as a Machine.”
Through art direction, photography, and systemized layouts, the project centers on twins connected by wires — a metaphor for duplication, control, and embodied transformation. Drawing influence from performance artists like Marina Abramović, the imagery captures the body in states of ritual, tension, and resistance. The identity spans multiple formats, forming a flexible media system adaptable across print and digital.

Badmómzjay x ISLA Berlin –
UMG for Brands

At Universal Music Group for Brands, I helped create campaign assets for the Badmómzjay x ISLA Berlin collaboration, blending music, fashion, and street culture. I designed social media visuals, packaging, and promotional materials aligned with both artist and brand.

A standout feature was an interactive grab-in window, making the packaging tactile and shareable. This project sharpened my storytelling and commercial design skills.

Malaysia Unscripted

A self-initiated analogue photography project capturing the cultural depth of Malaysia across urban and rural settings. Using darkroom processes and experimental techniques like double exposures and solarisation, the series explores everyday life through a raw, tactile lens.

Shown through both physical prints and a virtual exhibition, the project celebrates the authenticity of film while refining my technical and curatorial skills.
